About The Heathman Hotel – Did you know?

The Heathman Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Portland’s cultural and financial district. The Heathman’s charm, history and accessibility make it a favorite choice of business, celebrity and leisure travelers alike.

The Heathman completed a $4 million landfill-free “green” renovation, making it one of the most sustainable hotels in Portland.

In March, 2016, The Forbes Travel Guide unveiled its annual Star Rating list, naming The Heathman as a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star rated hotel.

The “New” Heathman Hotel was completed on December 17th, 1927 as the last great 'grand dame' hotel to debut in swinging downtown Portland. Bound by brick and motor to Portland's Performing Arts Center, this location came to play as the key to the future success of this luxury property.

The interior architecture holds to its history (to this day) with a storied 100-year old Austrian Crystal Chandelier from the U.S. embassy in, the former Czechoslovakia and two fantastic Claude Loraine pastoral Italian-esque large paintings from the 17th century.
