Portland Institute for Contemporary Art - Portland Institute for Contemporary Art explores and supports experimental art and new music in Portland. In addition to creating four world premieres, including OBT’s first full-length Swan Lake in 2006, Artistic Director Christopher Stowell has commissioned works by internationally prominent artists. Artists Repertory Theatre - Artists Repertory Theatre is Portland’s oldest professional theater company, dedicated to challenging artists and audiences with plays of depth and vibrancy in an intimate environment. Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - The beautifully restored, 2,776-seat Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, opened in 1984 and originally built in 1928, plays host to a variety of presentations including classical, jazz, pop, rock, folk and gospel music, dance, theatre, travel films, and events. The Italian Rococo Revival architecture - which features original chandeliers renovated and fitted with new crystal in rococo-style lobby - is a national showcase of renowned Chicago theatre architects.
