Job Openings at our Portland, Oregon Hotel

Position Dept. Status/Type of Pay Job Responsibilities
Engineer Engineering Hourly Based On Experience

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the hotel including guest rooms, lobby, meeting spaces, common areas, and outlets
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance and upkeep projects
  • Perform daily walk through.
  • Ordering supplies and monitoring the department budget
  • Scheduling
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Experience with multiple elevators a plus
  • Understanding of Building Management Systems
Room Attendant Housekeeping Hourly Based on experience
  • Clean guest rooms: vacuums, dusts, makes beds, clean bathrooms (tub, sink, toilet and tiles), empties trash
  • Folds linen and maintains ample stock on cart of supplies needed to clean room
  • Makes beds and freshens linens
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies (towels, soap, shampoo) drinking glasses, and writing supplies
  • Restocks Guest Services Binder with all information, movie lists, stationary, brochures, etc.
  • Moves furniture, straightens bed, table skirts, curtains, bedspreads
  • Washes interior windows, door panels and sills
  • Empties wastebaskets and sanitary disposals. Transports trash and waste to disposal area
  • Greets hotels guests by name
  • Check all furnishings and equipment (lights, radios, minibars, etc) for needed repairs or maintenance
  • Sweeps, scrubs, and polishes; dusts furniture
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • Notifies house person to clean items, such as fireplaces, balconies or exterior items as needed
  • Organizes and arranges guest belongings as necessary to present a clean and orderly room
  • Check all rooms for smoke odors and use cleaning machine where necessary
  • Reports all articles left behind by guests, and delivers the to the Housekeeping office
  • Maintains an accurate room attendant list and notifies the Front Desk of early/late departing guests and occupied/unoccupied rooms
Valet Front Door Hourly based on experience
  • Welcoming guest to the hotel upon arrival and during stay.

  • Safely and quickly and with care, parking and retrieving guests' cars in parking structure/garage, tracking license plate, car type and slot number on key packet

  • Assisting guests with area information, special events in hotel area and service offered at the hotel, along with hours of operation

    ·         Follow through on all guest complaints and requests to ensure the appropriate action and follow-up has occurred

    ·         Review group folios, prepare for group arrivals and special requests or VIP's

    ·         Communicating with Front Desk and Bell Person (if applicable) regarding the delivery of luggage to guest rooms

    ·         Communicate with Front Desk and other guest service staff regarding special requests, VIP's, AXPLA, Rewards Members and any special guests as defined by the hotel/franchise standards

    ·         Assisting guests with concerns/complaints

    ·         Keep work area clean, neat and organized, maintaining keys in secure area

    ·         Report unsafe conditions immediately

    ·         Cross training of Bell Person/Door Person duties
